Goon Island from Chuck Edgeworth on Vimeo.

A couple of weeks ago, Mambo’s in-house art prodigies, Brent Smith and Lee McConnell held their show “Goon Island” at The Tate. It was a beer soaked night of bong jokes, art and laughs. Triple Olympic gold medalist and The Celebrity Apprentice Australia Winner, Stephanie Rice, popped into the studio today to thank team Mambo for painting the new art wall at Don Bosco House, as well as providing clothes and surf, skate and art lessons for all the Kids. While she has achieved so much for one so young, she took a caning on the Table Tennis table from the Mambo masters. Her technique is better suited to the pool …. table.

Most of us don’t realise just how small our problems are until we meet someone with REAL problems. Recently Mambo received a call from Olympic swimmer and Celebrity Apprentice,Stephanie Rice asking if we’d donate a bit of time and paint to Don Bosco House, a youth refuge for kids who have suffered abuse. This is a Youth Off The Streets program and very close to Steph’s heart. Our artists were out the door and half way down Pittwater Rd before she could finish the call. Father Chris Reilly and the kids were blown away by the results. See for yourself.

Gorgeous models, artists, celebrities, Tourism heads and the Australian Consul General were mixed in with Free beer (thank you Pabst Blue Ribbon), dance offs and a back alley full of walls waiting to be spray painted. Sounds like the perfect party right? Well it was. Welcome to the launch of B_Space, Venice Beach and the wrap party for our latest Mambo Goddess campaign shoot featuring our favourite aussie beach babe, Ashley Hart and international superstar and Victoria’s Secret Angel, Barbara Palvin. Yep, it’s a hard life but someone has to do it. Click ‘continue reading’ for full photo gallery… Continue reading
